Get your hands dirty, make new friends, have a blast!
Committee volunteers are the backbone of our club. Just a few hours of your time can really make a difference to our club and will be rewarding for you. Working on a committee is an excellent way to network, get to know your colleagues and have fun! Every committee needs help, so call a chair today or e-mail us.
Dozens of volunteers with diverse expertise and high enthusiasm are needed in hosting our annual ADDY advertising competition and producing the dinner and show.
Education & Scholarship
This committee works with area colleges to encourage participation in the American Advertising Awards student competition. It also promotes AAF-GF scholarships, as well as organizes the annual Portfolio Boot Camp.
Reach out to the growing number of advertising professionals in our area by developing strategies to attract new members to the AAF-GF. This important committee develops member retention programs and works with the AAF-GF administrator to keep club membership records.
The Communications committee gathers news and stories, writes, edits, designs and produces the club’s various news outlets, such as weekly eblasts, blog entries, as well as social media pages. We are currently in search of writer as well as production and printing assistance.
In addition, the Communications committee is responsible for working with local media on club press releases, PSAs and advertising opportunities.
Come add your grey matter to a braintrust that develops educational programming for club luncheons and puts on their party hats to plan our Summer Social and Holiday Party. We are currently in search of members to help with event planning and coordination.
One of the goals of the AAF-GF is to assist nonprofit organizations in the promotion of their causes. The club periodically choses a civic or charitable organization that meets AAF-GF criteria and prepares an advertising campaign with a public service message.
The Ad Hoc committee is the “special teams” of AAF-GF. The group handles the nominating and balloting for our annual election, as well as coordinating the selection of our annual Silver Medal and Crystal Prism service awards.
