Each spring we hold a student portfolio “boot camp” at an area college in conjunction with AIGA BlueRidge. The day offers a chance for students to have a one-on-one review of their portfolio of work by one or more of a diverse group of advertising and design professionals who donate their time for this event. In addition to receiving valuable feedback on their work and presentation of it, students have the opportunity to hear from a guest speaker in a seminar on how to market themselves in the real world. They also have the chance to win great prizes and take home valuable give-aways from the event’s many sponsors.
The Portfolio Boot Camp is open to all college-level students with a visual communications portfolio including, graphic design, illustration, photography and multimedia design.
